Refund & Cancellation Policy

Vallapuzha Service Co-operative Bank Ltd., being a primary agricultural co-operative credit society, does not offer refunds or cancellations as we use the payment gateway facility solely for receiving loan repayments from our customers.

Once a payment has been made through the payment gateway, it cannot be refunded or cancelled, except under the following exceptional circumstances:

Eligible Refund Cases:

  1. Multiple Debit Transactions:
    If the customer’s card or bank account is debited multiple times due to a technical error, or if an excess amount is charged in a single transaction due to a technical issue, the excess amount (excluding applicable payment gateway charges) will be refunded.
  2. Failed Transactions:
    If the customer’s card or bank account has been charged, but the transaction fails due to a technical error, the debited amount will be refunded.

Refund Request Procedure:

To request a refund, the customer must submit a written application along with:

  • Transaction Number
  • Original Payment Receipt (if generated)
  • Reason for Refund

Refund requests will be manually reviewed and verified. If the claim is found valid, the excess amount will be refunded via electronic transfer to the borrower’s account within 7 calendar days from the receipt of the refund request. Depending on the customer’s bank, it may take an additional 3 to 7 working days for the refund to reflect in the bank account.


Bank’s Limitation of Liability:

Vallapuzha Service Co-operative Bank Ltd. assumes no responsibility and shall not be liable if payment instructions cannot be completed due to any of the following reasons:

  • Incomplete, inaccurate, invalid, or delayed payment instructions by the user.
  • Insufficient funds or limits in the user’s payment account.
  • Funds in the account are under lien, encumbrance, or legal restriction.
  • User’s bank refuses or delays processing the transaction.
  • Circumstances beyond the bank’s reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, fire, flood, strikes, power failure, system breakdowns, or cyber incidents.

If any payment fails for such reasons, the customer will be informed via email.


Account Termination:

Vallapuzha Service Co-operative Bank Ltd. reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend, terminate, or restrict any user’s account or access to services in whole or in part. This may be done without penalty and for any reason, including but not limited to violation of terms or misuse. Upon termination, the user must immediately cease using the services.
